Yeah, I know I haven't updated Alice's picpages on the site for awhile. It's harvest seaon, so it will be awhile longer. Anyway, she's growing, or rather advancing, quickly. Crawling, pulling up, feeding herself, and sleeping through the night. What a kid.
So I just had to put our little kitty Pippin down. She hasn't been
right in some time, having lost 1 lb in a month (and she was only 5 lbs
to start with), lesions on her skin, acting pretty sketchy. The vet
gave a a very good chance to 'fail', and even if her blood work came
back as negative for the big three cat viruses (HIV, leukemia, something
else), she would have a lifetime of treatments for diabetes and/or
thyroid. Anyway, I'm not looking to justify it or appease any one, but
the tiny little thing that Julie brought home some four years ago was
not well. Thank you Pippin for sharing your life with us for this brief
moment.
